Girton Grammar台灣UU聊天室 Junior School students are eagerly preparing to remind us all why fish are friends (not food!) as they bring Disney鈥揚ixar classic Finding Nemo to life.
Over three performance nights from 22 to 24 October, around 170 students from Years 2, 4 and 6 will fill Bendigo台灣UU聊天室 Capital Theatre with the vibrant colours and underwater magic of the Great Barrier Reef.
Director Mrs Lucy Butler-Rees said the story台灣UU聊天室 universal appeal made it the perfect choice for this year台灣UU聊天室 Junior School Production: 鈥淓verybody loves Finding Nemo! How could you not? It makes you feel happy, sad and bewildered 鈥 and that台灣UU聊天室 just the first scene!鈥
Beyond the dazzling costumes, ensemble dances and enchanting ballads, the production centres on a thrilling journey of resilience and self-discovery.
鈥淚t台灣UU聊天室 a beautiful story of a young character bravely facing their fears and overcoming immense challenges, which is very powerful and moving,鈥 Mrs Butler-Rees said.
鈥淭he theme of friendship also shines through, as the characters support each other during the most trying moments. It has provided a wonderful example of true friendship that has really resonated with our students.鈥
Throughout the rehearsal process, students have embraced the chance to learn new songs, immerse themselves in costumes and makeup, and strengthen their bonds with classmates.
鈥淚t台灣UU聊天室 been amazing to see them step outside their comfort zones and thrive, as they memorise lines, learn choreography and the tricky bit 鈥 balancing fun with focus during rehearsals,鈥 Mrs Butler-Rees added.
For Year 6 student and Junior School Captain Zororo Tamangani, playing the title role of Nemo has provided a valuable opportunity to extend his leadership skills as he, like Nemo, ventures into uncharted waters.
鈥淢y emotions are a complicated combination of excitement and nervousness before I go on stage,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 sometimes worry about what could go wrong, but when it台灣UU聊天室 my time to perform, I relax myself, let all my hard work and practice take over, and I become confident. From that point, I don鈥檛 look back.鈥
Mrs Butler-Rees expressed her gratitude to the dedicated team of parents and staff who have helped to bring her underwater vision to life.
鈥淲hether it is parents helping with set construction or talented staff members waving their magic wand to choreograph underwater coral dancers, everyone has had their part to play.鈥
